Madhav Plasto Mould is a precision mould and tooling manufacturer at Bakrol GIDC, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. We design, machine and trial plastic moulds and dies, and supply them to manufacturers across India.

How we work

Design, CNC machining, EDM, assembly and mould trials happen under one roof at Bakrol GIDC. We use CAD/CAM software, 3- and 4-axis VMCs and CNC lathes, and we trial moulds on our own injection moulding machines before handover. A complete mould typically takes 5–10 weeks, depending on its complexity. Our process page walks through each stage.

  Every injection mould has to carry molten plastic from the machine nozzle to each cavity. That path is called the runner system, and there are two basic ways to build it. A cold runner lets the plastic in the channels freeze with the part. A hot runner keeps it molten inside a heated manifold. Bottles, jars, cans and drums are hollow, and they can't be made in an ordinary two-half injection mould with a solid core. They are blow moulded instead: a hot plastic shape is inflated with air against the walls of a cooled mould. Two blow moulding families cover most packaging in India. PET stretch blow moulding makes clear bottles and jars, and extrusion blow moulding makes HDPE and PP containers such as jerry cans.
